Podiatry is a dynamic and people-oriented profession in which you work with diverse target groups and help them with complaints of the back, hip, knee or feet, among others.

The study programme to become a podiatrist is a four-year hbo study programme that you can take at Saxion in Enschede or at Fontys in Eindhoven. During the programme, you will develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of examining, treating and guiding people with foot and posture-related complaints.
Then you can opt for the part-time variant. In this so-called ABL track, you will immediately start working within a podiatric practice while studying. You will learn the profession in practice, combined with self-study, working groups and practicals, guided by a practice supervisor and learning coach. Like the full-time variant, the part-time course takes four years, but if you already have relevant experience, e.g. as a physiotherapist, it is possible to accelerate through the programme.
