What your role as a Software Engineer R&D looks like.

As an R&D Software Engineer, you play a major role in the further digitalisation and scalability of our innovative production processes. You will work on software that helps develop and manufacture medical devices. The result of your work will not only be reflected in software, but ultimately also in the devices used daily within foot care.

An important project you will be working on is making our 3D modelling algorithms and production steps scalable. You will develop smart solutions that ensure complex processes remain reliable, efficient and future-proof. In doing so, you will work closely with colleagues from R&D, software development and ICT.

You will be responsible for developing, testing and maintaining software, primarily in C#/.NET. You will turn innovative ideas into practical applications within our organisation.

Duties and responsibilities:

  •  Building and implementing new APIs;
  •  Developing, programming and testing software solutions;
  • Scaling up 3D modelling and manufacturing processes;
  • Collaborating with the R&D and software team on new innovations and projects;
  • Managing and optimising operational systems, primarily Linux server environments;
  • Documenting tasks and solutions in Confluence;
  • Carrying out code reviews to ensure the quality of our software.

What you bring as a Software Engineer R&D.

You are a curious software engineer who gets energy from technical challenges and loves acquiring new knowledge.

  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in IT, software engineering, or a related field;
  • You already have experience in software development, preferably in C#/.NET;
  • You think analytically and enjoy working on complex technical issues;
  • You enjoy developing innovative solutions together with colleagues;
  • You work independently, but actively seek out collaboration.

A nice bonus:

  • TypeScript;
  • PostgreSQL or other SQL databases;
  • Linux server administration;
  • Docker, Podman or other container technology;
  • 3D geometry or modelling processes.

There are always colleagues ready to help you. Our R&D team works closely with software engineers from other teams; they have a wealth of knowledge and experience in programming, so you can always turn to them with questions. We are driven by innovation and our goal is to take the quality and effectiveness of total foot care a step forward.

What you will receive as an R&D Software Engineer.
