As a Diabetic Podiatrist (in training), you will play a key role in the multidisciplinary approach to diabetes care. You will participate in consultations with, among others, the rehabilitation doctor, vascular surgeon, wound nurse and diabetes nurse. You will do this in various hospitals including Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, LUMC in Leiden, OLVG in Amsterdam and Haga in The Hague. You will do extensive foot treatments for patients with diabetes. This offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in various clinical settings and work with a wide range of healthcare professionals.

• Performing comprehensive foot examinations in diabetic patients.
• Making diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Performing podiatric treatments.
• Provide information and education to patients on diabetic foot care.
• Active participation in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Registration and reporting of patient data.

what do we ask of you?

• Completed training as a Podiatrist.
• Completed diabetes podiatrist specialisation or willingness to specialise in this field.
• Willingness to attend multidisciplinary consultations at different sites.
• Registration in the Paramedics Quality Register.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact well with patients and colleagues.
• Be able to work independently and have a proactive attitude.
• Willingness to work in the Rotterdam, The Hague, Amsterdam and Leiden region.
